Ray's spark began The Polish Fire...
Ray's inspiration for making and selling Polish Fire began with a desire to bring pleasure and joy to eating. Ray believes the most revolutionary thing we can do is grow our own food and share our food with others.
In his Polish-American upbringing, home cooked meals were an important part of daily life. Ray learned his way around the kitchen at a young age by watching his mother. In his words, "Mom fed a lot of people great food with simple ingredients. She did it without cookbooks, cooking shows or internet access."
At 18, Ray started cooking for himself daily for the first time. As his love for and experience with cooking grew, he yearned for a versatile hot sauce that had as much flavor as it did heat that didn’t burn going down. Over the years, he refined the original recipe and Polish Fire was born and has spread by word of mouth ever since.
Today, we carry on the tradition...
The team at Superior Fire is Val, Graham, Scott, and Joe. Our story of carrying on the tradition began by assembling together at Ray and Viki's home. There, we learned the process of making Ray's Polish Fire in small batches with great attention to detail.
Today, we've expanded our offerings under Ray's tutelage and with our own ingenuity to offer what you see here. Traditional Ray's Polish Fire is now joined by Divine Mesa, an amazing table sauce and two spice blends, a salt-free Sunset Blend and one with some salt and heat named, Phoenix Blend.
Together, we want to ensure the spirit of bringing together people while sharing good food is kept alive and well. We thank you all for helping us fan the flames.
